    Skin Prep & Care Guide

How to Treat Your Skin Before and After Any Treatment

Healthy skin responds better to laser, recovers faster, and produces cleaner results. This is the full framework — what to do before, what to avoid, what to use after.

    The Two Weeks Before

This is when you set up your skin to respond well. Avoid sun exposure and self-tanner. Pause aggressive actives — retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide. Keep skin hydrated and calm.

    The Three Days Before

Stop exfoliating. No scrubs. No new products. The goal is to arrive with skin in its baseline state — not irritated, not stressed, not freshly traumatized.

    The 24 Hours Before

Shave the area. Use clean, sharp tools. Rinse with cool water. Apply a gentle moisturizer. Skip everything else.

    Hard Pause

    • Sun exposure
    • Tanning beds
    • Self-tanner
    • Active retinoids or acids
    • Waxing or plucking

    The 24 Hours After

Cool, calm, gentle. Cool showers only. Loose clothing. No workouts that cause heavy sweating in the treated area. Aloe or a fragrance-free moisturizer if the skin feels warm.

    Day 2 Through 7

Skin is recovering. Continue gentle cleansing and moisturizing. Avoid actives until day 7. Use SPF 30+ daily on any treated area exposed to sun.

    The SPF Rule

Sun is the single biggest cause of complications, sensitivity, and pigment issues. SPF isn't optional during a laser series — it's part of the protocol.

    Long-Term Skin Routine

Your skin's condition determines how well laser works. Treat it well, and the results follow.
